The Leap Jobs transparency
TLE Agent is the automated source-checking system behind The Leap Jobs. It regularly checks approved public job sources and helps us keep useful job information up to date.
What it checks
TLE Agent helps us organise information that can make a job easier to understand at a glance. We only show a requirement as confirmed when the source supports it.
The original employer or institution page always remains the source of truth. We do not accept applications ourselves. When someone wants to apply, they are sent directly to the original job page.
We also do not want to pretend that our system knows something when the source does not clearly say it. If a requirement cannot be confirmed, we show that it was not mentioned or could not be confirmed rather than guessing.
Seen by TLE Agent is a freshness signal. It does not mean that TLE Agent verified the employer, guaranteed the vacancy, or independently confirmed every requirement.
Why we built it
The idea behind TLE Agent started with a simple goal: to support and guide people who are looking for jobs and trying to understand the process around them.
Ashish first built it while his friend was looking for a job in Germany. One of the biggest challenges was finding relevant vacancies early enough without manually checking many different career pages every day.
Since he studies Computer Science at htw saar in Saarbrücken, he built a small agent that regularly checked relevant public career pages.
It helped.
After she found a job, we realised that the same approach could also help other students and graduates who are searching for jobs, internships, working student positions and other career opportunities, but may not have the time or technical knowledge to build something like this themselves.
That eventually became The Leap Jobs, part of The Leap Europe.
Working with job sources
We are continuously reaching out to universities, research groups, research institutions and companies to ask for permission for TLE Agent to check and include their public job opportunities where permission is needed.
The idea is not to replace their own career pages. It is to give their opportunities a little more visibility and help them reach students, graduates and other relevant talent who may otherwise never come across those vacancies.
With our small contribution, we hope good opportunities can reach as many suitable people as possible, while the original employer or institution always remains the place where the full vacancy is read and the application is completed.
We continuously improve TLE Agent
TLE Agent is something we keep improving as we learn from more job sources, edge cases and feedback.
If you notice a mistake, an incorrect classification or something we could handle better, please tell us. Any such error would be unintentional, and your feedback can help us improve the system for the next student who uses it.
We would rather correct something openly than pretend the system is perfect.
Feedback, corrections and suggestions are voluntary and unpaid.
By sending us a suggestion, correction or idea, you understand that this does not create any obligation for The Leap Europe or The Leap Jobs to provide payment, compensation or any other benefit, unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing beforehand.
Our approach
The purpose is simple: make job discovery a little easier, give people useful information before they open a vacancy, and guide them back to the original employer whenever they are ready to apply.
We try to use approved public employer sources, research institutions and permitted job feeds wherever possible. We do not want to recreate complete employer job pages, accept applications ourselves, or make claims that the original source does not support.
