The Leap Europe · The Leap Jobs

Privacy

The Leap Jobs is designed around data minimisation: browse jobs without an account, keep saved searches in your browser, and avoid collecting candidate data that the job board does not need.

Who this notice covers

This notice covers The Leap Jobs at jobs.theleapeurope.com. For privacy questions, deletion requests or concerns, contact hello@theleapeurope.com. For job-source removal or correction requests, you may also contact ashish@theleapeurope.com.

Job browsing

You can browse The Leap Jobs without creating an account or giving us your name, email address, phone number, nationality, date of birth or a persistent candidate profile. We do not intentionally build behavioural profiles from your searches or browsing activity.

Normal infrastructure and security logs may exist where technically necessary to operate and protect the service. They are not intended to contain CV contents, extracted candidate profiles or unnecessary personal identifiers.

If you save a job or search, The Leap Jobs stores vacancy identifiers or the selected filters and search words, together with a short label and creation time, in this browser. This convenience data is not sent to a user account and does not include CV-upload data. Because search words are saved as entered, do not put names, email addresses or other personal information in them. You can remove saved items from the jobs page or clear this site's browser storage.

CV-processing service

The public job board does not currently offer CV upload, ATS Readiness or CV-based job matching. A supporting CV-processing service remains in the backend while this feature is withdrawn from the public interface.

If a CV is deliberately submitted to that service, the PDF or DOCX file is processed for the requested response and then discarded. The service is designed not to persist the CV file, raw extracted CV text, derived candidate profile, ATS-readiness result or job-match result in its database, object storage, GitHub, analytics or ordinary application logs.

Contact details found inside a CV are not needed for matching and are not intended to become part of the structured candidate profile returned by the analysis.

Job data and automated enrichment

Job records are collected from approved public employer or applicant-tracking-system sources and from a reviewed fallback source. The collection pipeline stores structured vacancy facts and bounded, sanitised processing text rather than retaining raw source job-description bodies. Obvious contact identifiers and unnecessary URLs are removed where practical before persistence.

Vacancy semantic processing is architecturally separated from the CV-processing service. It may receive only bounded vacancy content; it must not receive a user CV or candidate profile merely to interpret a job. Public applicant-facing interpretations are published only through the current evidence-backed TLE Job Card, while deterministic source, location and freshness data remains structural.

Tracking and advertising

The Leap Jobs is designed without third-party advertising pixels, behavioural profiling or session-replay tooling by default. If analytics or another processor that changes this privacy posture is introduced later, the feature should receive a privacy review and this notice must be updated before launch.

The Leap Pulse

The Leap Pulse is a voluntary, anonymous survey about job-search challenges and German-learning needs. You can browse jobs, use filters and open vacancies without taking part.

Submitted answers are added directly to aggregate counters. The survey does not store an individual response record, an answer combination, a visitor identifier or contact details. Individual answers are not shared with language institutes. Public answer distributions are currently withheld to reduce the risk of identifying a response through changes in small aggregate counts.

After a confirmed submission, this browser stores only a completion marker. If you choose “Not now” or close the survey, it stores a dismissal time so the invitation can remain hidden for 30 days. Neither browser value contains your survey answers, and you can remove them by clearing this site's browser storage.

External employer and ATS pages

When you choose “View full job details”, you leave The Leap Jobs and open the employer or ATS vacancy page. If you continue to apply there, that external site becomes responsible for its own application process, cookies, tracking and applicant-data handling. Read the employer or ATS privacy information before submitting personal data there.

Your requests

If you believe The Leap Jobs holds personal data about you, or you want to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or raise a privacy concern, email hello@theleapeurope.com. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request, but we will not ask for unrelated data.
